start small Believe Big

If you hang out with me long enough, you will learn to start small and believe big. We will learn to value small beginnings and to expect the immeasurably more God desires to do in and through our lives.

We serve a big God who wants us to experience him and serve others, wherever he has us, whenever he asks us. God can do immeasurably more in and through us. More than we could ever ask or imagine.

Come on. God trusts us to do amazing things; one step, one decision, one action at a time. It’s time to embrace the significance of small beginnings and believe big.

Let’s Go.

Hey! I’m so glad you’re here.

Thanks for joining me on this incredible journey of starting with the small to experience the immeasurably more.

My name is Billie. I’m a North Carolina born girl who’s lived in 15 different cities and towns throughout the United States, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic. This crazy life is due to being married for over 30 years to Dave a Major League Baseball Coach.

Together we have survived (mostly) raising three amazing young men, DJ, Charley, and Will. They have brought us to our knees, made us proud, and given us hours of laughter. They have officially flown the nest and landed on baseball fields.

Dave and I currently spend the baseball season in Pittsburgh and on the road for away games. We spend our off-season at our forever home in Southwest Florida.

My first book, Making Room: Doing Less So God Can Do More, released in January 2018. Making Room explores practical, effective ways to troubleshoot spiritual stagnation, including heart evaluation, discovering God’s Will, and impacting others.

Writing and speaking weren’t my first choice for a career. I have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked as a Critical Care Nurse.

I now spend my time writing, speaking, exploring cities, visiting our three grown sons, on vision trips partnering with Compassion International, helping with Bible Studies for MLB wives/girlfriends and sitting in ballparks. I’ll rest when I’m old…er.

Billie in Dominican Republic with Compassion International

I am very blessed to be a speaker with Compassion International. I partner with Compassion to help rescue children from poverty in Jesus’ name through child sponsorship. Sponsor a child and join me on a trip to the Dominican to meet them. It is an amazing experience!

My husband and I are also involved with their Child Survival Programs in the Dominican Republic. We consider the Dominican our second home and the people our family. We lived in the country while my husband managed in the Dominican Winter League. You can find out more information about child sponsorship and the survival programs on my Compassion page.

We believe we can make an impact on the kingdom with one step forward, one brave action, one defined decision or one small child. We serve a big God who desires to do immeasurably more in and through us!

Testimonials

Billie lives life with such full-throttle passion, yet she has learned how to listen to the ‘holy nudge’ that directs one to God’s blueprints. As a recovering control freak, I smiled as I read the process of Billie learning the liberating truth of doing less so God can do more. Billie inspires the reader to release the firm grip on one’s blueprints and with open palms accept the ‘Papa Approved’ script for one’s life! I applaud your transparency, Billie!

I first met Billie Jauss when she graciously hosted me in her home for a World Vision Women of Vision event in Florida. While her life was busy, I immediately recognized a woman eager to allow God to use her to make a difference. Willingness to be inconvenienced, stretched, and moved out of our comfort zones is always the key to seeing God make us change agents in this desperate world, and for this reason, I found Billie Jauss’s honest account of her own personal journey a relatable and inspiring read. I encourage anyone who feels they are too busy, inadequate, or irrelevant to change the world in Jesus’ name to read Making Room!

How To Move Forward When You Don’t Feel Ready
