Today is the Home Opener for my hubby’s team. This is our 32nd season in baseball.

I am often asked if I like baseball. Let me inform you all that I LOVE BASEBALL! I have always been a fan and my love for the game has grown over the years of my family working “in the game.”

The people in baseball are our family. We spend more of our time together than we do with our biological family. These ladies are my girls, the girls I never gave birth to but were placed in my life!

This life is crazy for the ladies in baseball. Packing up and moving three times a year. Our hubbies are working 162 days out of 183, with half of those on the road. As baseball wives, we spend a great deal of time in a new city, in a new apartment, all alone.

I thank God for Baseball Chapel. Baseball Chapel is an international ministry providing Sunday services and Bible studies for men and women in baseball. There are over 500 Baseball Chapel leaders throughout Major and Minor League baseball. They give support beyond the ballpark walls.

I thank God we are a part of baseball. It is the place God has placed us to minister. It is our mission field. My husband and I love to pour into the lives of the players, coaches, front office personnel and all the ladies. But I don’t stop there. I pray each day to see the person God intends for me to shine His Glory around.

Today I am asking you to please pray for the women in baseball.

Take time to go to the Lord for our protection, our unity, our anxious times and for peace and contentment to fill each of us. Pray that we see each opportunity God gives us. Pray that we bear fruit while growing in Him.

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God”Colossians 1:9-10

Pray for our safety.

Pray for our travels.

Pray for strength of our marriages.

Pray for our children.

Pray for our families.

Pray for where we serve in our cities.

Pray for peace and contentment.

Thank you my friends. We cherish your prayers!

If you are at a ballpark where my hubby’s team is playing, I’m probably there. Wave at me! I promise I will wave back.

Blessings to the upcoming season to all my baseball ladies, you are being covered in prayer!

Play Ball!
